Museum-Quality Reproduction
At Piet Mondrian Shop, we are dedicated to offering archival-grade reproductions that honor the artist's legacy. Our framed posters are crafted using master's edition, museum-quality paper with a matte, uncoated finish in natural white (off-white). The paper weight of 250 gsm (110 lb) and thickness of 0.29 mm (11.4 mils) ensure durability and a luxurious feel. Each print is protected by shatterproof plexiglass and encased in a sturdy pine wood frame, available in white, wood, dark wood, and black to suit your decor. The frame measures 20-25mm thick and 10-14mm wide, and comes ready-to-hang with a included hanging kit.
Historical Significance and Artistic Innovation
Mondrian's journey from figurative painting to pure abstraction was driven by his search for universal order. In this composition, he reduced art to its fundamental elements: straight lines, right angles, and the primary colors. The asymmetry of the grid creates dynamic tension, a hallmark of his mature style. This piece is not just a decoration; it's a piece of art history that invites contemplation and elevates any space.
